报告摘要:Initial-value problems (IVPs) with Caputo fractional derivatives are often used in recent applied models. Many recent papers assert that under a certain Lipschitz condition each such IVP has a unique solution, but we show by a simple counterexample that this statement is not true. Furthermore, it is frequently asserted that the IVP is equivalent to an associated Volterra integral equation, but our counterexample shows this also to be false in general. Finally, we prove that both these failings can be corrected by imposing a natural regularity condition on the solution of the IVP.
