报告摘要：Mathematical models of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STI) are commonly used to inform the design and deliver of public health programs. In this presentation, we review applications of HIV/STI transmission models in the following three spheres of public health program science: epidemic appraisal; intervention impact; and monitoring and evaluation. We then discuss the benefits and challenges of including heterogeneity in risk and intervention uptake in HIV/STI transmission models.
