The 1st International Symposium on Optimization and Complex Systems (ISOCS11)

To enhance the collaboration of international researchers in the field of optimization and complex systems, to integrate the newest research results on theory and application among the scholars, to feature international development trend and hot topics in the field of optimization, to promote the development of the open laboratory of operations research and optimization of Shanghai University, and in honor of the honorary professor of Shanghai University, chair of the academic committee of the open laboratory of operations research and optimization, Prof. Fang Shu-Cherng on the occasion of his 60th birthday, the first international symposium of optimization and complex systems (annual meeting of the open laboratory) will be held by the open laboratory of operations research and optimization of Shanghai University at December 13-16, 2011. The symposium is organized by Shanghai University, and co-organized by Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Operations Research Society of Shanghai, and University of Ballarat, Australia.

Meanwhile, Numerical Algebra, Control and Optimization (NACO) will publish a special issue in honor of Professor Shu-Cherng Fang for his 60th birthday. For details, please check here.
